Direct Seller Returns & Cash Refund Warning

VGO Bazaar operates a direct merchant fulfillment model with Cash on Delivery (COD) payments. VGO Bazaar does not operate a centralized courier pickup service or manage online cash refunds.

All return pickups, replacements, swaps, or cash refunds must be coordinated and executed directly with the specific local shop that fulfilled your purchase order.

1. Standard Return Window

Generally, VGO Bazaar supports a 7-day local exchange policy from the date of physical delivery. However, return timelines are subject to seller specifications:

  • Electronics & Gadgets: 7 Days for manufacturing malfunctions (repaired or swapped by the store).
  • Fashion & Apparel: 7 Days for size changes or color mismatches.
  • Groceries, Food Items, & Staples: Same-day doorstep verification. Perishables cannot be returned once the delivery agent leaves your address.

2. Coordinating with the Delivering Store

To initiate a return or exchange:

  1. Go to the My Orders dashboard.
  2. Click on the specific order card and click **View Details** to open the order details drawer.
  3. Locate the unique merchant section representing the seller of the product.
  4. Use the direct **Call Store** or **WhatsApp** action buttons to message the seller about the return requirement.
  5. The seller will coordinate a doorstep verification or request you to drop off the item at their physical storefront.

3. Return Eligibility Criteria

Items will only be accepted for return or exchange if they satisfy the following criteria:

  • The item must be completely unused, in its original packaging, and with all original brand tags, labels, and warranty cards attached.
  • No signs of physical damage, wear, liquid entry, or cosmetic scratches.
  • The tax invoice copy (printed or downloaded from the order panel) must be presented during handover.

4. Cash Refunds & Product Swaps

Since transactions are paid in cash/UPI doorstep to the seller's agent, refunds are governed by direct merchant procedures:

  • Product Exchange: Merchants will prioritize replacement/swapping of the defective item with a correct variant.
  • Cash Refunds: If a refund is authorized, the store will arrange a physical cash return or process an instant UPI payout to your mobile phone number.
  • VGO Bazaar Credit: No platform wallet credit exists in this MVP version. All credits are managed locally by the delivering store.

5. Dispute Resolution & Mediation

If a local seller refuses to process a legitimate return request or behaves unprofessionally, you can report the store directly:

  • Submit a support query outlining order details and photos via the Help Center.
  • VGO Bazaar will act as a mediator to coordinate with the seller and request swift resolution.
  • Sellers failing to honor fair return policies face permanent store suspension from the Platform.
